// You, Me Everything // Catherine Isaac // Book Review 4⭐️ //
Family, heartbreak, resilience.
Jess and her son William set off to Dordogne, France to spend the summer with Jess’s ex and William’s Dad, Adam. Hoping that he will finally love his son, giving them time to reconnect and make up for the last 10 years. Battling with her own secrets and worrying about William being let down, Jess needs to relax and let go. Will a Summer in France change everything?
This book made me dream of being on holiday, lapping up the French countryside. It deals with quite a few emotional, hard hitting issues and brings awareness to Huntingdon’s disease. It made me cry, laugh and broke my heart a little. I wanted to dislike Adam, but just found I couldn’t bring myself to. It’s one of those reads that you just can’t put down, that helps relieve a reading slump and fills you with love. It’s a slower pace of reading, but I felt it was just what I needed.
If you are looking for a different pace, a summer read, this will be perfect and I highly recommend.
On a side note I’ve only just found out that Catherine Isaac is an alias for Jane Costello....which is mind blowing, as I love all her older books too. 😍❤️
