|| Where the Crawdads Sing || Delia Owens || • Book Review 5 STARS •

Astonishingly beautiful.

The heartbreak Kya goes through at such a young age is unimaginable, Owens managed to portray such deep emotions through her writing to the reader.

It tells the story of a young girl, surviving on her own out in the Marsh, shunned by locals as trash and when a young man ends up dead is then accused.

The twists and turns kept me gripped throughout, whilst her extensive narrative of the scenery and nature kept me captivated by the beauty of the area.

It has an air of ‘How to kill a Mockingbird’ with the prejudices and assumptions the characters portray towards Kya. I would recommend this book again and again.
