“Make the most of your regrets...To regret deeply is to live afresh” - Henry David Thoreau.
What a book. It combined aching heartbreak, loss and a sense of pure fulfilment to read.
It tells the story of Rachel, jilted at the altar and grieving the loss of her Father, a strained relationship with her mother. Tied in with flashbacks to her mother’s life before her, we intertwine the truths that have never been told.
It was emotional, beautiful writing and I felt a strong connection to the characters. Such an easy, flowing book with a powerful message.
I enjoyed every page.
