|| The Switch || Beth O’Leary || Book Review 5⭐️ ||

A heartfelt, original gem 🌷

Leena lost her sister Carla and after a minor breakdown in her important presentation, decides she needs to get away. Her grandmother Eileen has been left at 79 to navigate life as a single woman, she wants the adventure she missed out on her twenties. They swap lives for 2 months, both rediscovering the new versions of themselves they are becoming. Eileen starts online dating in London and Leena has to contend with the Neighbourhood watch committee, how will they manage?

I LOVE Eileen so much, she is hands down my favourite character in a long time. O’Leary has such an incredible style of writing, it made me laugh out loud so many times and I can completely see why this has been picked up to be on screen. The characters are all so well developed, it’s hard to criticise any part of the book.

If you enjoyed the Flat Share, you will love this book. Can’t wait to see what O’Leary can do with her third novel 🙌🏻💐
