Gothic, chilling and fascinating.

It tells the story of Emmett, sick and sent off to become a binders apprentice. He becomes implicated in the morally challenging magic of binding memories into books, secrets that pull us into the darkest of places.

This had me captivated, I read chapter after chapter, unable to put it down until the finish.

I loved the main protagonist, I found him fascinating, wanting him to be happy and feeling his sorrow and heartbreak.

Definately a good book to escape the modern world, one of my favourite books now.
