Luna, a 12 year old girl finds herself in a race against time, to lead a group of special children, the new Guardians of Athame, to find the missing crystals of the ancient dagger. Deep in the magical forests of Northern Ireland, a portal has cracked and destruction is spreading, the darkness growing.

I loved the theme of strong female characters throughout this book, it set the tone for a great YA read. As part of a series, this was a great character and world building book, full of thrills and tension.

If you enjoy YA fantasy, this one is for you, excited to see where this series takes us.
